Abstract
The international human rights system seeks to ban , in the light of the documents about prohibition of corporal punishment of children , the use of all kinds of corporal punishments on children . All forms of corporal punishments as being against the human dignity and a childs physical integrity and which come into the category of inhuman , cruel and sometimes torturous acts , have been prohibited in three levels : family , school and penal system . Thus the states have been asked to take measures to prevent such punishments on children . On the other hand , the Islamic approach as per the Imamiyah jurisprudence has considered corporal punishment as permissible and has allowed certain individuals such as the ruler ( qualified jurisprudent ) , father and teacher to use corporal punishment for educational discipline of a child and observance of his / her best interest .
This variation has led to some challenges between these two systems . Therefore , in order to iron out the challenges , I have made a study of the views of the two systems on corporal punishment . In the beginning , I have provided the definitions of relevant technical terms and expressions , and found out that corporal punishment is the deliberate infliction of pain
