Therefore , Ali is the guardian and Masterof believers the same as Prophet Muhammad ( peace be uponhim and his progeny ) has guardianship over all believers . It is obvious that such virtue and merit has been proved for noone but the Commander of the Faithful ( peace be upon him ) and in all researches it has been emphasized that whenever wehave to specialize the guardianship between either of theCommander of the Faithful , Imam Ali ( peace be upon him ) orAbu Bakr , such a merit and virtue exclusively belongs to ImamAli ( peace be upon him ) and Abu Bakr never enjoys such arank . So imamate and guardianship exclusively belong to him .
